Connect Booking.com to ZenHost

Connect a property to Booking.com from ZenHost: accept the connection in the extranet, enter the Hotel ID, then check prices and bookings.

You connect a property to Booking.com from ZenHost, in a few steps: choose the property, accept the connection in your Booking.com extranet, then enter your Hotel ID. ZenHost checks the connection, reads your Booking.com room and rates and links them to the property. You do not match rooms and rates yourself.

1. Before you start

  • The property must already exist in ZenHost. If you imported it from Airbnb, reuse that record: do not create a second property for Booking.com.
  • Keep access to the Booking.com extranet of the property.
  • One Booking.com property (one Hotel ID) sells one ZenHost property. If your Hotel ID holds several rooms, write to support before connecting.
  • The maximum number of guests on Booking.com must not exceed the capacity of the property in ZenHost.
  • ZenHost connects Booking.com in euros.
  • Check prices, availability and minimum stays in ZenHost: they are sent to Booking.com as soon as the property is connected.

If another channel manager is connected to this Booking.com property, plan the transition with support first.

2. Open the connection in ZenHost

Open Integrations, click the Booking.com card, then Connect a property. From a property page, Integrations → Booking.com → Go to the Booking.com page leads to the same page. During onboarding, the Connect Booking.com step opens the same window.

Choose the property to sell on Booking.com. Properties already connected are shown as already connected and cannot be selected.

If the button is missing, ask an administrator for integrations access.

3. Accept the connection in the Booking.com extranet

  1. In the extranet, open Account, then Connectivity provider.
  2. Search for Channex and select it: it is the connectivity provider ZenHost works with.
  3. Accept the connection agreement. Booking.com accepts it instantly.
  4. Copy your Hotel ID, shown at the top of the extranet next to your property's name.

Then return to ZenHost and click Done, enter my Hotel ID.

4. Enter your Hotel ID

Paste the Hotel ID (digits only, for example 1234567), then click Check my Hotel ID. ZenHost checks the connection and reads your Booking.com room and rates. Nothing is sent to Booking.com yet.

ZenHost then shows the Booking.com room and the number of guests it will be sold for.

Extra-guest fees. If your Booking.com property uses one price per rate, Booking.com receives your base price whatever the number of guests, and ZenHost warns you before you connect. To apply your per-guest prices, turn on pricing per guest (occupancy-based pricing) in the extranet before connecting.

5. Connect

Click Connect. ZenHost activates the connection, sends your prices and availability to Booking.com and imports your upcoming Booking.com bookings. The window confirms that your property is connected to Booking.com.

The Booking.com page then shows, on the property's row, its Hotel ID and the Connected status. If the upcoming bookings could not be imported, the window says so and the Booking.com page keeps a notice with a Retry the import button until Booking.com accepts a new import; if retrying still fails, write to support.

If the connection is refused

ZenHost explains why and connects nothing. The most common cases:

  • Booking.com does not accept this Hotel ID: check the number, that the connectivity provider of step 3 is selected and accepted, and that no other channel manager is connected to this property.
  • This Hotel ID is already connected to a property in ZenHost.
  • The Hotel ID holds several rooms: ZenHost connects one property per Hotel ID. Write to support to find the right setup.
  • Booking.com accepts more guests than your property: both numbers are shown. Lower the maximum on Booking.com or raise the capacity in ZenHost, then try again.
  • No Booking.com rate can be updated: your rates are read-only or derived from another rate. Write to support.
  • The property does not use euros.
  • This Booking.com pricing model is not connected yet: write to support.

6. Check after connecting

Open Bookings and Calendar in ZenHost, then check:

  • upcoming bookings: property, dates, reference and status;
  • a few open and blocked nights, and their prices on Booking.com;
  • minimum stays in the extranet;
  • the total of a stay, including Booking.com fees, taxes and promotions.

Bookings and their updates arrive from Booking.com; availability, prices and restrictions are sent from ZenHost. Instant synchronization is not guaranteed.

Disconnect a property

On the Booking.com page, click Disconnect on the property's row. Your availability stops reaching Booking.com at once and its new bookings no longer arrive in ZenHost. Bookings already received stay in ZenHost. This is final: to sell on Booking.com again, connect the property again.

What this connection does not replace

Manage listing photos, descriptions and promotions on Booking.com. Changes to a Booking.com reservation's dates or occupants, and cancellations, also start on Booking.com: see Where to manage what.

The connection does not import past stays. If upcoming bookings are missing, have the connection checked before entering them again. To complete missing history, use Import historical bookings from CSV.
